Files are only useful in order
A filing system that arrives shuffled is worse than one that has not arrived at all, because somebody has to put it right before anyone can use it. The whole discipline of moving records is preserving sequence.
We move filing cabinets, shelving systems and document storage so that the order they left in is the order they arrive in, labelled by drawer and by range so refiling is straightforward.
How we handle records
- Drawer-by-drawer and shelf-by-shelf labelling before anything moves
- Transfer crates sealed and numbered in sequence
- Cabinets and shelving dismantled, moved and reinstalled
- Loaded and unloaded in reverse order so refiling runs forward
- Storage available for archive material that is not going to the new space
A note on confidential files
Many of our commercial clients hold sensitive material — legal, medical, financial and government records. If your organisation has chain-of-custody requirements, retention rules or a compliance regime that governs how records are handled in transit, tell us at the walkthrough so we can build the handling and documentation around them rather than around a standard move.
Get a written scope before you commit
No guesswork and no surprise line items. We walk the space, agree the sequence, and put the plan in writing.
